I started working at Seesmic after moving to the Bay Area. Seesmic was a social media application company with several popular Android, iOS, and Windows mobile applications. We created tools for people to connect their social media accounts. Whether it was Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or some obscure photo or text app only accessible to a few people, we supported a user's desire to share their content with the world.
One of the highlights of my time at Seesmic was the people I worked with from the CEO Loic Le Meur to the product managers, engineers, and QA personnel throughout the organization. Seesmic employed a handful of people in nearly every timezone across the globe. I worked with colleagues in Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Romania, and throughout the United States. We genuinely enjoyed working with each other. Even for a small company, our level of production was on par with what I've observed at more prominent firms with more personnel.
I was hired as an experience designer at Seesmic. I maintained the existing design assets while designing new material for their new products. I worked with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, on designs for half a dozen products with over two million active mobile users. The most active of Seesmic's apps was their Android Social app which alone counted for over 800,000 active users.
